Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Rex, an iPhone app for discovering, remembering, and sharing real-world experiences with friends. By creating an account or using Rex, you agree to them.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rex. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Provide accurate information and don't impersonate anyone else.

Your content

You own the content you post on Rex — your experiences, notes, photos, rankings, and lists. By posting, you grant Rex a non-exclusive license to store, display, and share that content with the friends you've connected with, which is what the app exists to do. You can delete your content, or your whole account, at any time in the app.

Acceptable use

When using Rex, you agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Post spam, scams, or misleading recommendations for commercial gain.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or probe, scan, or disrupt the service.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from Rex by automated means.
• Use Rex to violate any applicable law.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms. Where reasonable, we'll let you know why.

Other people's content

Rex shows you content created by your friends. We don't endorse it and aren't responsible for it. If you see something that violates these terms, report it in the app or email us.

The service

Rex is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that any particular content will be preserved. Place information is provided by third-party sources and may be inaccurate or out of date.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rex and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including experiences you choose to visit based on recommendations in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Rex is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free app, may be zero).

Ending your use of Rex

You can stop using Rex and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Rex evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and notify you in the app. Continuing to use Rex after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
